BROWSER EXTENSION Beta
Give your agent a tab.
Keep the work moving.
Give an Avengents agent a browser tab to read and operate, using the sites where you are already signed in.
For desktop Chrome and Chromium browsers, including Brave.
BEFORE YOU INSTALL
A tab is real access.
Think of it as handing someone your unlocked browser. An agent can take a tab you give it to any website and use your signed-in sessions there. There is no per-site approval yet.
- You can take it back. Press Stop in the extension, or close Chrome’s debugging bar, to end access immediately. This does not undo actions already taken.
- The debugging bar is expected. Chrome shows “started debugging this browser” while a tab is handed over. That is how the extension operates it.
- Sensitive values stay private. Passwords (even when revealed), one-time codes, and payment-card numbers, security codes, and expiry dates are not read back to the agent.
- Avengents itself is not blocked. The agent can also operate tabs on the Avengents app.
More about the access you grant
An agent can open up to five browser tabs of its own. If you take back the last tab you handed it, those tabs stay open but no longer belong to that agent.
A tab you hand over starts with Notify agent on: when something changes there, the agent is told to take a look. The notice carries nothing from the page, and you can turn it off for each tab.
In the Avengents app, open More › Chrome tabs to pause, resume, or mute a handed-over tab from your phone or another device.
An agent can upload files from its own machine to the site in a tab. It does not read local files from the computer running your browser.
Agents on the same machine and account share a credential. Selecting an agent is a workflow choice, not a security boundary between those agents.

This early build is not in the Chrome Web Store. Install it manually using Developer mode.

Install and connect
- Unzip the download. Keep the extracted folder somewhere permanent; the browser loads it from there.
- Open your extensions page. Paste
chrome://extensionsinto Chrome’s address bar, orbrave://extensionsin Brave. - Enable Developer mode. Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder containing
manifest.json. - Connect your account. Open the extension, review the access note and Privacy Policy, then choose Agree and connect. On the Avengents Connect this browser page, choose Open Avengents to sign in if you are not signed in, then press Connect.
- Hand over a tab. On the tab you want help with, open the extension and choose an agent under This tab.
- Take it back anytime. Choose Stop for one tab or Stop all. You can also pause, resume, or mute it from More › Chrome tabs in the Avengents app.
The agent’s machine needs a current Avengents CLI, which updates itself. Your agents do the work; the extension gives them browser access.
